01Who this policy is from
Drugs & Doses - Anesthesia is published by nrhealthtech. It is an offline educational drug-dose quick-reference for anaesthesia providers. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with information, and it applies to the Android app distributed through Google Play under the package name com.dosecal.app.
02The short version
The app runs entirely on your device. It does not ask you to sign in, it does not know who you are, and it never sends anything anywhere. nrhealthtech receives no data from the app — not usage statistics, not crash reports, not the values you type in.
There is no server behind this app. There is nothing for us to see.
03What the app stores on your device
The app saves your preferences and your drug library in your device's local browser storage so the app opens the way you left it. This data never leaves the device. It is not readable by nrhealthtech or by any other app.
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
| anaesth.v1 | Your drug and category library, including any drugs you add, edit, rename or recolour |
| anaesth.wt | The weight last typed in the patient bar |
| anaesth.age | The age last typed in the patient bar |
| anaesth.ht | The height last typed in the patient bar |
| anaesth.sex | The sex selected for body-weight calculation |
| anaesth.doseOn | Whether doses are calculated on actual, ideal, lean or adjusted body weight |
| anaesth.view | Whether you last used the drug list or the GA walk-through |
| anaesth.bwOpen | Whether the body-weight panel is expanded |
| anaesth.disc | Whether you dismissed the disclaimer banner |
04What the app does not collect
To be explicit, the app does not collect, request or transmit any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers or any account credentials
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, IP addresses or installation IDs
- Location data of any kind
- Contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone data
- Usage analytics, event logs, session recordings or crash reports
- Patient-identifiable information or medical records
The app contains no advertising, and nothing in it is sold, shared or disclosed to anyone, because nothing is collected in the first place.
05Network access and permissions
The app declares one Android permission, android.permission.INTERNET. This is required by the app framework the app is built on and is not used: the app makes no outbound network requests. All content — the drug data, the monographs, the fonts and the icons — is bundled inside the app and loaded from your device.
The app requests no other permission. It cannot access your location, contacts, storage, camera or microphone.
06Backups
Automatic Android backup is switched off for this app (allowBackup="false"). Your drug library and settings are therefore not copied to Google Drive or transferred to a new device when you change phones. If you want to keep your edits, use the export feature described below.
07Export and import
The menu lets you export your drug library as a JSON file and import it again later. This is entirely under your control: the file is created on your device and goes only where you send it using your phone's own share options — for example to your own files, email or messaging app.
nrhealthtech does not receive exported files and has no way to access them. Once you share a file with another app or service, that app's or service's own privacy policy applies to it.
08Children
This app is a professional reference tool for anaesthesia providers. It is not directed at children and is not designed or marketed for use by them. No data is knowingly collected from anyone, of any age.
09Deleting your data
Because everything is stored on your device, you are in complete control of it:
- Reset the drug library — open the menu and choose Reset to reference defaults to discard your edits and restore the original data.
- Clear everything — in Android Settings › Apps › Drugs & Doses › Storage, tap Clear storage.
- Remove it entirely — uninstalling the app deletes all of its stored data from your device.
There is no data held elsewhere, so there is nothing to request, correct or erase from us. If you are in a jurisdiction granting rights of access, correction, portability or erasure, those rights are satisfied by the controls above, since nrhealthtech holds no personal data about you.
10Google Play
The app is distributed through Google Play. Google collects its own information when you download or update an app — for example your Google account and device details — under Google's own privacy policy, which nrhealthtech does not control and is not a party to. Please refer to Google's policy for how Google handles that information.
11Not a medical device
Separately from privacy, and for the avoidance of doubt: the app is an educational quick-reference. It is not a medical device, it has not been evaluated or approved by any medicines or medical-device regulator, and it must not be used as the primary basis for any dosing decision. The full disclaimer is shown at the bottom of the app itself.
12Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address with a new effective date, and the app listing on Google Play will point to it. Because the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
